South Lake Union Express Market

Last week two intrepid Art Stallers staffed our booth at the Pike Place Market Express at South Lake Union.  Here are a few highlights!

Downtown Beauty

Several Art Stall members painted at a Market Express location yesterday...a chance for Pike Place Market to get out into the community and for us to celebrate our 50th Anniversary in the market. This scene caught my eye while unloading our supplies. While I painted, gorgeous bouquets were being created right next to me. Lovely day!

The Market Abroad

We Art Stallers are an intrepid bunch.  Yesterday we painted en plein air among other Market vendors at King Street Station!  Here is Joan Reeves' vision of our next-door vendor sharing with us her riotous glory of colorful flowers.

Pike Place Express Market at King Street Station

Pike Place Market, 108 years young, embodies the exchange of essentials from food to art directly between producers and the public.
This summer the Market's Art Stall Gallery, "only" 50 years old, joins the Express Markets, representing Pike Place in other Seattle neighborhoods, such as South Lake Union (Thursdays), First Hill (Fridays) and King Street Station (Wednesdays).
Sheltered by canopies and surrounded by vendors of delicious fresh foods and deliriously beautiful flowers, four Art Stall members enjoyed the opportunity yesterday to sketch en plein air in the great downtown.
A beautiful day to be out!
